About the Expo

The Moreton Bay Region Sustainable Living Expo is an annual event showcasing all aspects of living sustainably. It is held at the Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre (CREEC), located at 150 Rowley Road, Burpengary, approximately 40km from Brisbane CBD. The Expo costs only $2 per person (children under 12yo FREE).

Each year Friends of CREEC Assoc. Inc. transforms the centre into a hive of activity as they showcase this one day Expo that provides information and products to help people from Caboolture and the surrounding regions improve the environmental and social impacts of their day-to-day living.

In 2009 the Expo will feature over 100 exhibitors of products, services, and information, along with activities on a variety of sustainability and green living topics. Expo attractions will include talks, displays, food, entertainment, demonstrations, and activities for children.

In 2009 the Expo theme is 'The Future of Food'. The Expo will explore some of the issues facing our future food production and will feature some of the very best in their chosen industry - Annette McFarlane from ABC Gardening Australia will take centre stage as will celebrity chef Matt Golinski from Channel 10's 'Ready Steady Cook'.

Attractions will include 'The Future of Food Marquee' and other sustainable exhibitors, as well as comprehensive workshops, displays, presentations and demonstrations - all to provide information and products to help people from the Moreton Bay Region and further afield improve the environmental and social impacts of their day-to-day living.
