Evan sees climate change as providing one of the greatest opportunities of our time. In a time of crisis, people come together to find creative solutions and these solutions can help create a better world. Councils and communities need to work together to improve the way natural resources are used in our everyday lives.
Since Evan joined the Council, he has been working on improving Council facilities and processes to reduce energy usage. His own home is well designed, has low embodied energy and uses only 25% of the power of a standard home. Evan has a Master in Environmental Education and has worked with communities internationally promoting sustainability on the local level.
